| CROWSNEST HIGHWAY We were hurrying along this route on our way home in Seattle from a trip to Edmonton, but the many sights along this highway made us stop often to take pictures. There are many attractions to attract you to Highway 3, from east to west: Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump A terrific interpretive center that explains the lives and hunting methods of the Plains Indians before they acquired horses and guns. http://www.Head-Smashed-In.com Frank Slide 70 peope perished here when a huge chunk of Turtle Mountain broke off and buried a portion of the town of Frank in 1903. It remains an awesome, tragic sight today http://www.FrankSlide.com Crowsnest Mountain This striking mountain stands out by itself with an unusual layer cake shape.
