A big Olympic peninsula lake you have probably never heard of. Nestled at
the southern end of the Olympic National Forest. 40 miles from the nearest
town over partial gravel roads. Lake Wynoochee remains nearly untouched
and undeveloped - except for a dam and campground at the bottom of the
lake. The lake is ringed by forested hills that come down to the waterline.
The campground provides picnic tables, a swimming area with offshore
platform, and a boat ramp. The area is always uncrowded.
