| CHINA BEACH This beach was the end point of a day trip we made from Victoria, stopping by Hatley Castle and the Fisgard Lighthouse along the way. The beach has several interesting features: a walk through a pretty forest to reach it, a rocky area, a sandy area, a small waterfall, interesting driftwood, and big rocks to hop on between waves. The view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and distant Olympic mountains is spectacular. I know so many residents of Seattle who have visited Victoria, but never leave the Inner Harbor area. China Beach is one of the reasons to bring a car, spend longer than one day, and explore the region.
